“Vegetarians are Liberal Moral Supremacists”

In Uncategorized on February 25, 2010 at 6:00 pm

About an hour ago, I sent out tweets and a Facebook status update asking why people are happy about being a vegetarian. The replies are surprising.

What surprises me is that every single response mentions an emotional and/or moral reason. No one simply stated a logical reason such as, “I was getting too much protein.” or, “My heme iron levels were too high.”

Personally, I know a large number of vegetarians. I host a Yoga Meditation Youtube for goodness sakes. I find most of them to me far more socially and spiritually conscious than the general public. Vegetarians just tend to have bigger hearts.

But I wonder, if your reason for being a vegetarian is because you feel that taking in an animal body part that was killed violently is immoral, would you accept a organ donation?
