You can just start breathing shallow and you’ll magically think of things that cause you stress
Have you noticed that the amount you breathe is absolutely inversely proportional to the amount of stress you have? What surprises most people is that there is no cause-and-effect relationship. In other words, you don’t need stress to breath shallow. You can just start breathing shallow and you’ll magically think of things that cause you stress. This is the magic of the mind body relationship.
So, then, as you can imagine, all you have to do is breathe deeply and your stress will evaporate away. It does. But you can’t breathe deeply when your chest is all bound up with muscle tension. So, the ancient yogi and qigong masters came up with pranayama and … ummm… qigong. This is how you stretch your lungs (Exaggerated for visual reference. See a qigong master or pranayama yoga teacher before practicing).
